Foot Orthotics
PUSH as Rx Foot orthotics. Foot orthotics are shoe inserts that can be purchased at the local store or custom-made to medical specs. Custom-made orthotics tend to be considered more effective and higher quality than pre-made store-bought orthotics.
Custom-made orthotics help with:
- Abnormal walk or gait
- Reduce pain
- Prevent and protect foot deformity’s
- Better foot alignment or position
- Removes pressure on the foot/feet
- Improve mechanics of the foot/feet
If the issue comes from an injury, disease, or condition, the cause of the foot pain is what tells the doctor what type of orthotic to design. The removable inserts are made by taking an impression of the foot/feet with a 3-D laser scan.
If you suffer from foot pain, which can lead to leg, hip, and spine issues, then orthotics can help. Often, starting from the bottom up with the feet, foot orthotics can prevent/stop any future problems and relieve any pain or discomfort. It is an option to be considered and should be discussed with your doctor.
