Can You Exercise With a Torn Posterior Tibial?

See on Scoop.itChiropractic

Tendons in the body attach muscles to bones, stretching across joints to allow you to bend them. One of the most important tendons that support you

Dr. Alex Jimenez D.C.,C.C.S.T’s insight:

The posterior tibial tendon is essential for supporting the feet. Tendonitis refers to the irritation, inflammation, and swelling of the tendons, and when the tibial tendon is damaged or injured, leading to a tear, the symptoms experienced after can be impairing. Exercise can help rehabilitate many conditions and injuries, but in this case, exercise is not recommended after a posterior tibial tendon injury.
